Ondrea was born in Wiesbaden, Germany but was raised in California. She recently moved to Hico, Texas to be closer to Tarleton State and her family. She is currently pursuing her bachelors degree at Tarleton State University with a major in Ag Education, with a double minor in Animal Science and English. Her career goals are to become a high school agricultural teacher so she can continue to influence youth in our community. Growing up in California she gained experience working with horses and livestock from FFA, her studies, and working alongside reining cowhorse trainers in the Salinas valley area. She has held the title of Miss Rodeo California 2014 and was awarded a top 5 placement at the national Miss Rodeo America contest in 2015. She has continued her passion of advocating for the sport of rodeo by coaching future rodeo queens of all levels.
Ondrea has loved horses her entire life; she started riding at 14 and has enjoyed owning and showing her own horses since. Her main discipline is reined cowhorse, but she also enjoys trail riding and starting young horses. Working at Peak Performance as a Vet Tech is a rewarding and great environment to enhance her knowledge of horse science and she hopes to apply what she learns in the classroom setting.
